What is Think Pittsburgh?

Think Pittsburgh is me, Ian Jones, a Pittsburgh photographer and creative who’s tired of watching small businesses get buried in jargon, retainers, and “strategy decks” that never turn into content. I’ve got a weirdly long history with marketing. I like to joke that I started in 6th grade when I invented Reese’s Sticks. Ask me about it sometime. Since then I’ve seen it all. I’ve sat in board rooms of million-dollar companies, watched the best and the absolute worst marketing decisions get made, and spent years marketing myself and my own projects.

I’ve learned a ton from trial and error and I do a lot of things on the back end that nobody ever talks about. Little details that quietly help you rank higher on Google and look more legit online. The good thing about me is that everything I do has marketing behind it. When I make content, I make it to get clicks, views, and actual attention, not just to “have something up.” I come in, learn your business, clean up your digital footprint, and create a library of photos and videos you can actually use. Then I show you how to use it so you and your team can keep things rolling without hiring a big agency. I’m local and in-person, with straightforward pricing and no long contracts. You get real content and a simple plan you can actually run yourself.
