This is my break room… literally.
When I’m not behind the camera, editing footage, or working on creative campaigns, I come down here to clear my head and recharge. I’ve got four classic Arcade1UP machines set up in my basement, each one loaded with nostalgic arcade games that take me back to a simpler time. Back when I had no bills and felt like an “adult.”
There’s just something about it that reminds me why I started creating in the first place. From Mortal Kombat to TMNT: Turtles in Time, this space isn’t just for fun. It’s part of the creative process. It’s where ideas reset, stress fades, and the next big concept gets room to breathe.
This is what my downtime looks like.

More Than Just Games
There’s something about these Arcade1UP machines that just hits different. I don’t need to commit to a storyline or grind through missions like I would on the Xbox. I can walk in, hit start, play a few rounds, and shut it off without thinking too hard. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it lets me mentally check out for a minute.
These old-school arcade games aren’t about high-stakes or hours of gameplay, they’re about flipping a switch, zoning out, and resetting. And honestly, that’s why I keep them around. Sometimes the best creative ideas come after a good round of Golden Tee or busting skulls in Mortal Kombat. No pressure. Just play. Not to mention… they look pretty fucking cool. Funny enough, this room and those games have influenced a lot of the colors, motion, and mood I use in my video work and my home studio.
Insert Coin, Hit Play.
I grew up in the 80s and 90s. The GTA: Vice City soundtrack basically raised me. So when I fire up these arcade machines, it’s straight into that vibe. Neon lights, synth beats, and zero stress.
